Pearland Store Opens on March 27, 2019

Pearland, Texas - GreenSpace Self-Storage is pleased to announce that the world's first-ever multi-story self-storage facility built out of shipping containers opened for business on March 27, 2019.

The three-story Class A facility features over 1,000 climate-controlled storage units ranging in size from 25 sf to over 300 sf.  Built using about 320 surplus shipping containers, this is believed to be the first-of-its-kind facility in the world.

This truly "green" facility will also utilize another "green" feature, which is new to Pearland - a Low Impact Detention System for storm water. This "green" detention system uses pervious pavers to migrate storm water to the city's storm water outflow. The design features a 250 foot long landcaped section of the property featuring a bio-swail with river rock, located between the facility and the apartment complex to the northeast.

Matt Burk, CEO of Fairway America and his team were instrumental in assisting GSSS in the development of the project.  "This project simply could not have happened without Fairway America's involvement", said David Ledoux.  He added, "We couldn't have had a better partner on this project."
